After more than a year without journal-updates, I figured it'd be only fair to the people who watch my works to tell you what's going on with me.
Right now, my exams are due in less than two weeks, so I'm getting quite nervous. My grades are fine, so I will only fail if I don't attend to any of my exams, which I am not intending to do so far. The subjects on which I will be examined are Dutch, Latin, Physics, Math, Art, Chemistry and English. I'll propably excitedly tell you when I passed, so you'll hear that (unless I die or get kidnapped) in about a month.
The first half of my exams is already finished, and my highest grade is the one for Art. I just handed in my last practical assignment, but I haven't gotten that grade back yet. The sketches for that assignment are to be found here:
The concept was to make 'My visual ID' in two ways: urban styled and villageously pictured. After my friend Isabelle took the pictures, I had them printed and painted them over. That way, I still was photographed, but the background was a painting. Plus, I added a small surreal or strippish detail, which made the pictures more interesting and artistic. The final result will be uploaded as soon as I get it back.
Finally, I've decided what I'm going to do with my life after I've finished high school. I'm planning to live with my parents for another year, but meanwhile study Architecture in Delft (which isn't that far from Amsterdam). Everyone around me (and me too) finds it very exciting, so I'm very curious about what it's going to be like.
That's all for now,
I'll be uploading a few more pictures from my Art assignment, so keep watching!
